      <image:title>Architecture - RAMEN HOUSE</image:title>
<image:caption>The Ramen House is a project developed in the fall of 2014. The space is a multi-generational home and business on two lots in Savannah's Victorian district. There are a number of things to consider when designing for so many people and so many uses. The thought process of the project can be found in the diagrams, which explain the subtraction from a generic mass. Aside from designing the building, time was spent designing the client's family and their specific situation. The following images show a handful of the work that went into the final presentation. The full project is available upon request.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Architecture - EXHALE fitness studio</image:title>
<image:caption>This is a project that I wear many hats for. Exhale is a boutique fitness studio that was started by my mother on January 1st, 2015. I designed the logo and helped to decorate and furnish the interior of the space. While a lot of the work I did was design oriented I did spend time putting in flooring, painting, and building furniture. The prospect of helping brand projects and businesses has always interested me and I am very glad I got a chance to bring strong graphics and a simple interior design scheme to such a special place. The following images show a handful of the work that went into the final stage of branding before the opening of Exhale. You can see more photos and get information about exhale at their website, here.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Architecture - Axonometric Rendering</image:title>
<image:caption>This project is one that was developed in Maya and Rhino during my sophomore year. While a lot of information that can be communicated through Revit and Autocad the freedom of Non-Uniform Rational Basis Spline (NURBS) and polygonal modeling offers shapes and designs that have only been imagined. This project is one of my first using the technology and is a flagship for the fashion brand Comme Des Garcons in Ayomaya, Japan. Ideas of objects within objects, and partial exposure of interior organization are all driving forces behind the work. The space houses showrooms, offices, two fire stairs, as well as a small theatre and cafe. The following images show a handful of the work that went into the final presentation. The full project is available upon request.   </image:caption>

      <image:title>Architecture - OT/TRA</image:title>
<image:caption>Ot/Tra creates furniture for workplace, hospitality, and residential interiors. Although the company was officially established in 2016, ot/tra has been designing furniture since 2010. The principle stands that what we bring as designers to our architectural projects we offer here as well: technical rigor, meticulous detailing, quality construction, and a softened contemporary aesthetic. While working for Ot/Tra I built, tested, and reworked pieces from the 2017 Catenary collection in preparation for the companies debut at Architectural Digest's 2017 Design show. All work is made by hand in our DUMBO workshop.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Architecture - wall panel rendering</image:title>
<image:caption>This project questions the idea of the subdivided surface in architecture, reinterpreting it as a constellation of objects. This patchy composition does not become a continuous field as Deleuze and Guattari established in, “1440: The Smooth and the Striated” (A Thousand Plateus, 1987); rather, is defined by multiple and distinct boundaries. The resultant 'crazy' configuration is an assortment of discrete objects relating in strange and diverse ways. The unique expression of form, developed through various 'wrought' techniques (i.e. stuffing, nestling, packing, thickening, etc.), does not obey a single surface logic - is neither smooth nor striated - instead expresses both hard and soft edge. Each object maintains definition of shape by anticipating its neighbor. The relationships between the objects are articulated as a series of tight or loose-fitting joints, adding a level of complexity to their interaction. This kind of composition lacks a certain continuity and predictability. This is a group project that I worked on for a Digital Visualization class I took at the end of my sophomore year. The following images show a handful of the work that went into the final presentation. The full project is available upon request.</image:caption>

<image:caption>In this panel and the next is some work I did while at Wallpaper* Magazine. During my time working in London I wrote articles for the Wallpaper* website, contacted firms with interesting projects, and went to a few events with the architecture department. I also got the chance to experiment with the LEGO Architecture Studio and build a few things for the article regarding the newly released LEGO set. This is just one of a handful of unique experiences I had while overseas. The following images show a handful of the work that went into my internship at Wallpaper*. THE PROJECT REPRESENTS THE REALIZATION OF ARCHITECTURE AS ARTWORK. <image:title>Architecture - the Batey Rehab Project</image:title>
<image:caption>During the spring break of my Junior year I spent a week in the Dominican Republic with the Batey Rehab Project helping on the construction of a new home for a 14 year old girl and her family. There are a lot of things to mention about this trip from mixing cement and pouring the foundation to demolition of the original structure. However, the most important contribution I made to the home were the doors and windows. Under the guidance of furniture design student Maura Costello we built seven windows, three for a previous home and four for the house under construction, and a beautiful, sturdy front door. We did this without the use of power tools or internet tutorials.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This work was displayed in a show about the digital environment. The work is meant to represent the vast juxtaposition between the technology we use daily and the capabilities that computational software offers. The forms were created with Rhino 3-D modeling software and the algorithm based plug in Grasshopper. The tweets are sourced from myself and friends. Although this work may not be seen as exhibition the forms presented are intended as artistic sculpures ore even spaces depending on your percieved scale of said objcet.</image:caption>

The redesign of this space, and a portion of the slave quarters is the main focus of a Grant applied for in January of 2017.   For more information on the scope of my work in this project feel free to email me.</image:caption>
